Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Accounting Manager to own core accounting operations and financial reporting for its North American business. Reporting to the Director of Finance, this hands-on leadership role will manage a small team and partner with a global finance group to ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance with 7+ years of progressive accounting experience and strong GAAP knowledge; CPA is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 7+ years progressive accounting experience.
• 5+ years supervising AP/AR or accounting teams.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and financial reporting fundamentals.
• Advanced Excel and analytical skills.
• CPA license strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a small accounting team including AP and AR functions
• Oversee general ledger, journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly close
• Prepare monthly balance sheet and P&L statements
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and annual performance tracking
• Manage cash flow projections and day-to-day cash position
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and corporate reporting standards
• Maintain local and state sales tax documentation and filings
• Partner cross-functionally with operations, engineering, and IT teams
• Assist with audits and respond to internal and external reporting requests
• Resolve escalated vendor, invoicing, and operational accounting issues

Position Overview

Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Accounting Manager will own core accounting operations and financial reporting integrity across the North American business. This is a hands-on leadership role with direct reports and close collaboration with a global finance team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a small accounting team including AP and AR functions
• Oversee general ledger, journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly close
• Prepare monthly balance sheet and P&L statements
