The Accounting Manager oversees the accounting department, managing all accounting staff and providing assistance with accounting, maintenance, and reporting of all accounting applications. The manager is responsible for all functions of the department.

Supervision

Reports directly to the Accounting Controller.

Responsibilities

• Manage payroll employees, accounts payable employees, and staff accountants.
• Oversee and assist with all functions of the accounting department.
• Provide assistance in accounting, maintenance, and reporting of all accounting applications.
• Communicate appropriately with management, internal auditors, and external auditors.
• Protect patient information and maintain confidentiality.
• Actively participate in department/hospital cost‑saving and productivity initiatives.
• Stay knowledgeable of and participate in the implementation of policies and guidelines in the department.
• Attend required departmental meetings.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and equivalent work experience in the accounting field.

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical documents.
• Ability to define and solve problems individually.

Physical Demands / Work Environment
