We are seeking an Accounting Manager to take ownership of day-to-day accounting and financial reporting across our corporate and project entities. Working closely with the CFO and finance team, this individual will maintain accurate books, lead the close process, and strengthen the systems supporting a growing development platform. This is a hands-on position for someone comfortable moving between transaction-level detail and complex real estate accounting.
The Accounting Manager will help implement automation of routine accounting functions, maintain effective controls, and coordinate with clients, vendors, and external tax consultants.
Candidate hired into this role will be required to work in-person in the Canopy 5 office in Indianapolis, IN on a weekly basis, but flexible work arrangements will be considered.
Success in this role means timely, well-supported closes; reliable corporate and project financial statements; reconciled cash, debt, and inter-company balances; and accounting processes that become more efficient as the business grows. The right candidate will enjoy taking ownership, improving how work gets done, and working directly with a small finance team on the accounting needs of an active real estate development business.
