Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing, LLC is seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to provide immediate accounting leadership while the company searches for a permanent hire. This on-site role combines day-to-day bookkeeping with higher-level accounting, project accounting, and financial reporting duties.

You will oversee AP, AR, GL, job costing, and project billings (AIA G702/G703) and work closely with the President to ensure timely, accurate financials.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
• Construction or project-based accounting experience.
• Experience with job costing and AIA billing.

Responsibilities

• Manage Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger activities.
• Process monthly operating and material bills while monitoring cash availability.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end schedules.
• Review daily bank exceptions and assist with cash management.

Accounting Manager

Key Responsibilities of the Accounting Manager:

Accounting & Financial Operations

• Manage Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger activities
• Process monthly operating and material bills while monitoring cash availability
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end schedules
• Review daily bank exceptions and assist with cash management

Project Accounting

• Prepare project billings, including AIA G702 and G703 pay applications
• Partner with Project Managers to maintain accurate project financials

Compliance & Contract Administration

• Support payroll tax and payroll-related filings including 941, SUTA, and FUTA
• Assist external CPA with annual financial statements and tax filings
• Coordinate insurance-related requests and compliance documentation

Qualifications of the Accounting Manager:

Required:

• 3-5+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
• Construction or project-based accounting experience
• Experience with job costing and AIA billing

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• QuickBooks experience
• Construction contract administration experience
• Experience supporting financial reporting and forecasting
