Job description

DUTIES:

1. Oversee, direct, and monitor all accounting department activities.
2. Work closely with the General Manager to maintain smooth operation of accounting and other departments.
3. Provide timely and accurate financial information for the Ramen and Golf businesses to executives.
4. Prepare and deliver consolidated financial reports to Corporate HQ monthly and as requested.
5. Ensure all accounting processes comply with GAAP and relevant legislation.
6. Manage third-party outsourcing of accounting or finance functions.
7. Handle the company’s financial accounts, payrolls, budgets, cash receipts, and assets.
8. Prepare and monitor the general ledger, financial reports, budgets, and forecasts aligned with strategic plans.
9. Manage cash flow planning and daily cash requirements.
10. Authorize bank transactions and monitor bank accounts.
11. Negotiate funding requirements with financial institutions.
12. Oversee tax compliance matters.
13. Monitor credit risks with customers and suppliers.
14. Supervise external and internal audit processes.
15. Develop new transaction schemes as needed.
16. Guide staff on handling non-routine transactions.
17. Ensure compliance with authorization processes and policies.
18. Support selection and implementation of accounting software and train staff.
19. Hire, train, motivate, and supervise accounting staff.
20. Assist other departments with financial strategies and decisions.
21. Stay informed on industry developments.

24. Hours: 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday
25. Additional Responsibilities: Maintain internal controls related to accounting processes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Advanced knowledge of U.S. GAAP financial reporting and internal controls.
2. Expertise in Federal, State, and Local tax laws and regulations.
3. In-depth knowledge of accounting systems, especially Dynamics GP.
4. Proficiency in MS Office and strong math skills.
5. Attention to detail with the ability to analyze large data sets.
6. Strong leadership and communication skills.
7. Ability to develop and modify accounting policies and procedures.
8. Excellent interpersonal skills for collaboration.
9. Accounting degree required.
10. Minimum 7 years of experience in finance and accounting.
11. Japanese language skills preferred.
12. CPA and/or CMA certification preferred.
13. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
