Qualifications

• 5+ years in construction accounting, preferably for a General Contractor (GC).
• Strong knowledge of month-end close, job costing, subcontractor billing and union payroll compliance.
• Experience overseeing AP/AR and payroll; hands-on leadership when needed.
• Proficiency with Vista by Viewpoint is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end and year-end close processes for multiple projects.
• Oversee AP, AR, payroll, and compliance functions for the company.
• Review subcontractor billings, job costing and contract accounting activities.
• Ensure compliance with union payroll and labor requirements.
• Support financial reporting, reconciliations and audits.
• Lead, mentor and develop accounting staff; partner with operations teams.
• Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability.

Responsibilities

• Manage the month-end and year-end close process


• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and compliance functions


• Review subcontractor billings, job cost reporting, and contract accounting activities


• Ensure compliance with union payroll and labor compliance requirements


• Support financial reporting, reconciliations, and audit requests


• Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff


• Partner with operations and project management teams to support business objectives


• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability
