Job Title: Accounting Manager

Base pay range
$90,000 - $115,000
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a distributed finance team, promoting the company’s mission and values‑based culture.
- Plan, direct, and coordinate all accounting and finance activities, including monthly closings, metric reporting, and capital expenditure tracking.
- Manage budgeting and forecasting processes, supporting strategic decision‑making for the Distribution Group.
- Partner with senior management to drive performance toward organizational objectives.
- Analyze financial data to inform strategic business decisions.
- Oversee cash flow, working capital, and compliance with accounting, audit, tax, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead information system projects to optimize business system processes and data analysis.
- Travel is up to 40% to office locations.
Must‑Have Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience in distribution, construction, or similar operational environments
- Strong experience with inventory accounting, project/job accounting, and margin analysis
- Proven people leadership or team lead experience
- Solid knowledge of GAAP and financial statement preparation
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities
Nice‑to‑Have Skills
- MBA, CPA, and/or CMA certification.
- Experience with Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or similar continuous improvement methodologies.
- Background in project accounting and sales metrics reporting.
- Experience with PowerBI or other reporting dashboards.
- Knowledge of inventory, capital expenditures, and financial statement consolidations.
- Strong negotiation and mentoring skills.
