Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly accounting close cycles for multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and deadlines.
• Review financial statements, identify variances and opportunities for improvement.
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, and key accounting areas including receivables, payables, and inventory.
• Assist with financial reviews of potential acquisitions and post-transaction accounting coordination.
• Strengthen accounting procedures and internal controls across ERP systems.
• Partner with executives to provide financial analysis for strategic planning.
• Monitor debt covenants, liquidity, and working capital performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting and accounting efficiency across the portfolio.

Accounting Manager

Position Overview

An established and expanding investment organization is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee accounting and financial reporting for a group of manufacturing and distribution businesses. This hands-on role will work directly with executive leadership across multiple entities, providing financial visibility, strengthening accounting processes, and supporting business performance.

The position offers broad exposure to operational finance, working capital management, and acquisition-related activities within a growing portfolio of businesses. The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting skills with a practical, business-focused mindset and the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple locations.

Key Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in manufacturing or distribution
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage month-end close activities and financial reporting
• Strong understanding of inventory accounting, standard costing, and margin analysis
• Background supporting acquisitions, business integrations, or separation activities
• Advanced Excel capabilities and experience working with ERP platforms
• Ability to travel approximately 10–25% between business locations
• CPA or CMA certification preferred
• Experience working within a private equity-owned, family office-backed, or multi-entity organization is beneficial

• Strengthen accounting procedures and internal controls while maintaining reliable financial data across ERP systems
• Partner with business presidents and senior executives to provide financial analysis that supports operational and strategic planning
• Monitor debt covenant requirements, liquidity, and working capital performance
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, accounting efficiency, and financial oversight across the portfolio
