Job summary

Bell & Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting for active construction and real estate development projects in North Miami-Dade.

This hands-on, senior-level role covers the general ledger, month-end close, financial reporting, job costing, WIP, draws, reconciliations, and internal controls. The ideal candidate brings strong GAAP knowledge and construction/project-based accounting experience, and will partner with leadership and project teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5–7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Construction or real estate development accounting experience strongly preferred.
• Hands-on experience with job costing, WIP, and project accounting.
• Experience with construction draws, lien waivers, and construction loan processes preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, general ledger, financial reporting and month-end close.
• Previous experience supervising accounting staff.
• Strong Excel and ERP system skills.
• CPA is a plus, but not required.
• Strong communication skills with leadership and project teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting for active construction and real estate development projects.
• Manage the general ledger and oversee AP and AR functions.
• Lead month-end and year-end close and prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements.
• Manage job costing and ensure accurate coding and allocation of project costs.
• Prepare and review WIP schedules, project budgets, and variance analysis.
• Partner with project managers to monitor costs, forecasts, and financial performance.
• Support construction draw requests, including schedules, invoices, lien waivers, and related documentation.
• Assist with construction loan compliance and lender reporting.
• Complete and review bank, balance sheet, intercompany, and other account reconciliations.
• Maintain and strengthen accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Coordinate with outside CPAs on tax preparation, audits, and year-end reporting.
• Supervise, review, and mentor accounting staff.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting.

An established construction and real estate development company in North Miami-Dade is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations.

This is a hands-on, senior-level role with responsibility for general ledger accounting, month-end close, financial reporting, job costing, WIP, construction draws, reconciliations, internal controls, and oversight of accounting staff.

The ideal candidate brings strong accounting fundamentals along with direct experience in construction, real estate development, or project-based accounting and is comfortable partnering closely with leadership and project teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting for active construction and real estate development projects
• Manage the general ledger and oversee AP and AR functions
• Lead month-end and year-end close and prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements

• Ability to work 100% onsite in North Miami-Dade
