Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead financial reporting and support monthly, quarterly, and annual close across a multi-entity organization.
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and GL activity for accurate reporting.
• Oversee GAAP financial statements, including consolidations and intercompany activity.
• Investigate discrepancies and resolve issues with internal teams.
• Partner with accounting across functions to ensure timely, accurate information.
• Prepare management reporting packages and analyze variances for leadership.
• Support audits and external reporting requirements.
• Identify process improvements to strengthen controls and reporting efficiency.
• Manage and mentor accounting staff while remaining hands-on in daily tasks.

What You'll Do

• Lead financial reporting and support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes across a complex, multi-entity organization.
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and other general ledger activity to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Oversee the preparation of GAAP financial statements, including consolidations, intercompany activity, and entity-level reporting.
• Investigate discrepancies, unusual balances, and accounting inconsistencies, working directly with internal teams to identify and resolve issues.
• Partner with accounting teams across multiple functions to ensure accurate, timely, and complete financial information.
• Prepare management reporting packages, analyze financial results, and communicate significant variances to leadership.
• Support technical accounting matters, audit activities, and external reporting requirements.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen accounting processes, internal controls, reconciliations, and reporting efficiency.
• Participate in system enhancements and initiatives designed to improve data accuracy and financial visibility.Manage and mentor accounting staff while remaining actively involved in day-to-day accounting activities.

What You Bring

• Approximately 5-10 years of progressive accounting experience, including strong general ledger, close, and financial reporting responsibilities.
• Active CPA license strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
• Experience with multi-entity accounting, consolidations, and intercompany transactions.
• Ability to investigate accounting discrepancies, understand underlying transactions, and independently resolve issues.
• Experience managing or mentoring accounting professionals while maintaining hands-on involvement.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting systems; Quorum or similar industry-specific platforms preferred.
• Analytical, detail-oriented mindset with the ability to identify issues and improve processes.
• Comfortable working in a growing environment where processes are evolving and priorities may shift.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across accounting functions and leadership teams.
