You will lead the AP/AR function, oversee about 400 monthly invoices and weekly treasury payment batches, and support month-end close with accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications

Job description

Established Construction company seeking a resilient, hands-on, and process-driven Accounting Manager to join our growing team. This role is a critical position responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, streamlining transactional workflows, and establishing robust Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). This is an exceptional opportunity for a construction accounting professional (or candidates with a background in Engineering, or Architecture) who thrives in a traditional, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership & AP/AR Management: Manage and mentor accounts payable team. Oversee the accurate management of approximately 400 monthly invoices and ensure the accuracy of weekly payment batches sent to international Treasury.
• Process Optimization & SOP Development: This is not a "cleanup" role, but rather a build-and-document role. You will evaluate current manual entry processes, manage transaction exceptions, and establish, document, and implement efficient SOPs.
• Financial Reporting & Treasury Support: Perform bank reconciliations, prepare cash flow reports, and assist the Controller with month-end closing procedures.

Requirements

• Industry Experience: MUST have direct Construction, Engineering, or Architectural accounting experience. A deep understanding of job costing, progress billings, and the US bonding/surety process is required
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required
• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Excel and construction-specific / design-build specific accounting software, such as Procore, Deltek, Foundation, Accumatica, CMiC, Sage 300, Viewpoint Vista etc.
• Schedule: 100% In-Office. This position requires 5 days a week in the office—no hybrid or remote flexibility is available.
