Job summary

Cook Brothers, Incorporated is seeking an accounting manager experienced with Commercial Construction activities. You will handle accounts payable and receivable, and collaborate with Project Managers and On-Site personnel to manage progress payment applications.

The role requires strong Excel skills, attention to detail, ability to meet strict deadlines, and coordination with CPAs for audits. Training on our Commercial Construction Software will be provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounting for commercial construction projects.
• Prepare and submit payment applications to project owners.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and on-site personnel.
• Track and verify progress payments and notices.
• Create and manage XLS spreadsheets for reporting.
• Coordinate with CPA for audits as required.
• Maintain organized records and meet deadlines.

Job description

We are seeking an accounting manager, experience with Commercial Construction activities.

Duties include, but not limited to:

• Accounts payable and receivable.
• Receivable to include preparing and submitting applications for payment to project owners. Applicant should possess good communication tools and be able to collaborate with Project Managers and On-Site personnel. Tracking payments for these requests.
• Working with Project Managers to timely receive and verify subcontractor/vendor requests for progress payments. This step includes monitoring Notices to Owner, authorized signatures, etc.
• Knowledge of and ability to create XLS spreadsheets.
• Working with CPA, as required including audits.
• Must be organized and able to adhere strict deadlines.
• Attention to detail regarding distribution of payments (ACH or USPS) and filing (electronic and hard copy).
• This position requires an organized person to work with diverse accounting and to have good communication skills.
• Will train in the use of our Commercial Construction Software.
