Job summary

RGP is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead critical accounting and financial reporting functions, ensuring accurate close processes, SOX readiness, and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced environment.

This role, based in the Bay Area with three onsite days, will oversee GL, reconciliations, treasury, fixed assets, intercompany, and SEC reporting, while driving process improvements and controls across the finance organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, month-end close, consolidations and public company environments.
• Experience with SOX compliance, internal controls, audit support, and process improvement.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and drive initiatives to completion.
• Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• CPA, SEC reporting, internal audit/SOX testing; biotech or regulated industries a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting and audit readiness.
