Job summary

CFS is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager for a portfolio of residential real estate properties in Arlington, VA. You will oversee monthly close, financial reporting, GAAP compliance, and accounting operations while leading a team of accounting staff.

Reporting to the Controller, you will partner with property management and leadership to optimize budgets, streamline invoicing workflows in Yardi, and ensure accurate financial results across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• 4+ years of real estate accounting experience required.
• Residential real estate accounting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the month end close process for property portfolios.
• Manage, mentor and develop accounting staff.
• Analyze budgets versus actual results.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, operating agreements and management agreements.
• Develop a strong understanding of invoice workflow and accounting processes within Yardi.
