Job summary

Technical Associates is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations in our Albany, GA office. You will manage General Ledger, AP, AR, and Payroll, and coordinate audits with emphasis on internal controls and accurate financial reporting.

The role requires 5–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, supervisory capability, and strong Excel and accounting software skills. BS degree preferred; Albany-based position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 5 - 10+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Prior accounting management or supervisory experience leading a team.
• BS degree preferred or related work experience considered.
• Strong proficiency with accounting software programs and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Manage General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll.
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements and reconciliations.
• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes.
• Maintain strong internal controls and accounting procedures.
• Coordinate audits including Workers’ Comp and General Liability.
• Tax filings and financial reporting.
• Daily banking entries.
• Client and intercompany invoicing.
• Manage and support accounting department and staff.
• Back-up for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll.

Education

BS degree

5 - 10+ years of progressive accounting experience

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
