Job summary

6 Degrees Group in Alpharetta, GA is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the corporate accounting team. This hands-on role reports to the Manager of Corporate Accounting and focuses on the monthly close, GL management, and scalable process improvement in a hybrid setting (minimum three days in office).

You will prepare journal entries, perform reconciliations, and support internal/external reporting. Candidates should have 2–5+ years of relevant experience, strong US GAAP knowledge, and ERP

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• CPA or CPA candidate strongly preferred.
• 2–5+ years of accounting experience in public accounting or industry.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and general ledger with ERP exposure (JDE or SAP a plus).

Responsibilities

• Perform account reconciliations and analyze variances for GL accuracy.
• Assist with internal and external financial reporting and ad hoc analyses.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, including AI and automation tools.

Our client, a global manufacturer in Alpharetta, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their corporate accounting team. Reporting to the Manager of Corporate Accounting, this hands‑on role will play a key part in the month‑end close process and general ledger management. The Senior Accountant will help build scalable processes, strengthen controls, and support a best‑in‑class accounting function at a growing organization. This is a strong opportunity for a motivated accounting professional to take ownership of core close and reporting work in a hybrid role (minimum three days in office).

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and record journal entries and accruals in accordance with US GAAP and internal controls, supporting the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process.
• Perform account reconciliations, analyze variances, and help ensure the accuracy and completeness of the general ledger.
• Assist with internal and external financial reporting, compiling and analyzing financial data to support management decision‑making and ad hoc requests.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, including through AI and automation tools, and support system and ERP enhancements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA or CPA candidate strongly preferred.
• 2–5+ years of relevant accounting experience in public accounting and/or industry.
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and US GAAP, with ERP experience (JDE or SAP a plus) and familiarity with Blackline.
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups) and exposure to or interest in AI tools such as Copilot preferred.
