Job summary

Troon's Corporate office in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking an Accounting Lead to oversee accounting deliverables for a portfolio of golf clubs. You will supervise a small team, ensure GAAP-compliant reporting, and collaborate with operations to align financial results with business activities.

The role emphasizes hands-on review, coaching, and cross-functional collaboration with Finance, Operations, and Legal to maintain standards and drive performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a lead, supervisory, or senior accountant capacity.
• Experience reviewing complex reconciliations, financial statements, and close deliverables.
• CPA certification or progress toward certification preferred; not required.
• Experience in multi-entity accounting, shared services, or hospitality/golf industry environments.
• Familiarity with contract-driven revenue recognition.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly close activities for the assigned portfolio, reviewing statements, reconciliations, and schedules.
• Provide hands-on review and quality control ensuring GAAP/compliance with internal controls.
• Supervise and coach a small team of accountants.
• Serve as primary accounting liaison to operations leaders and respond to inquiries.
• Lead onboarding/transitions for acquired facilities and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Present financial results in client-facing meetings and support audits/budgets.
