R&R Realty Group in West Des Moines, IA is seeking an Accounting Intern for Summer 2027. You will assist with financial statements, budgeting, and audits while gaining hands-on experience in a corporate accounting environment.

Candidates must be enrolled in an accounting or related degree with a 3.2+ GPA, strong attention to detail, and solid written and verbal communication. You should be ready to learn new software and take on multiple tasks in a collaborative team.

What you'll do: As an Intern in our Accounting team, you will work on a variety of tasks, learning new things and gaining experience that you can use both in the classroom and in your career. Primary tasks include the following:

• Prepare, record and analyze financial information detailing assets, liabilities and capital. Prepare cash flows, balance sheets, income statements, and other reports to summarize and interpret current and projected company, partnership or third-party ownership financial position for management.
• Prepare, review and analyze annual budgets.
• Prepare for audits of company accounts.
• Provide general administrative support as needed.

What it takes to join our team:

• Must be enrolled as a college student pursuing an accounting or related degree (Junior and senior student status preferred).
• 3.2+ GPA
• Ability to multi-task with a high attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Be an active learner - willing to learn new things, tackle new projects and software and demonstrate initiative.
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Completion of or current enrollment in Intermediate Accounting course preferred.
