This 10-week internship provides hands-on experience with the financial operations behind a heavy civil construction company. The intern will work alongside ourAccountingteam and gain exposure toAccounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Equipment Accounting, and general accounting functionswhile contributing toreal businessactivities and projects.
Assistwith vendor invoices, documentation, coding, and payment processing
Support customer billing, payment application, and account reconciliation
Assistwith equipment accounting, including equipment costs, transfers, purchases, and asset records
Help prepare account reconciliations, spreadsheets, and accounting reports
Gain exposure to month-end accounting activities
Review financial and equipment data for accuracy
Maintain organized accounting records and documentation
Assistwith special projects and process improvement initiatives
Work with Accounting and other departments to learn how financial operations support construction projects
Currently pursuing abachelor's degree inAccounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
Basic understanding of accounting principles through coursework
Proficiencywith Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Willingness to learn and work as part of a team
Interest in construction, project accounting, or corporate accounting is a plus
