Job summary

The Seed Company in Arlington, TX is seeking an Accounting Intern for a 9-week summer program. You will gain hands-on experience within the Finance group, under close supervision, supporting a variety of accounting tasks.

You must be a current student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with at least a 2.5 GPA, available full-time from mid-June to early August, and proficient in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist with various Finance projects and learn how to work as part of an accounting team, gaining hands‑on experience serving finance customers.
• Assist with general accounting work such as account reconciliations, expense report reviews, vendor invoice and receipt review, and journal entry support.
• Assist with research, filing, data entry, and recording, maintaining accurate and complete records.
• Participate in meetings and other special project assignments.
• Assist with a variety of clerical and finance functions within the Accounting group.
• Handle sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity.
• Work full-time during a 9-week period, from the second week of June through the first week of August.

SCOPE: The purpose of the Accounting Intern is to learn about accounting practices within a non-profit ministry. Provide support to the Finance group within a variety of processes and tasks while under immediate supervision. Interact within the Seed Company Internship program and engage in various learning and mentorship opportunities.
