Job summary

MicroVention in Aliso Viejo, CA is seeking an Accounting Intern to support day-to-day accounting in a manufacturing environment, with exposure to month-end close, audits, and ERP implementation projects. This role reports to the Controller of Terumo Neuro and is based onsite.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s in accounting or business, with strong MS Excel skills and high accuracy handling large data sets. Candidates should be able to work independently and meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Pursuing bachelor’s degree in accounting or master’s in accounting or business.
• Familiar with GL accounting principles and MS Excel.
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS is a plus.
• Experience with ERP systems (JDE a plus) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Reconciling sub-ledgers to general ledger account balances.
• Assist with maintaining and reconciling fixed assets and reports.
• Support quarterly and annual audit processes and schedules.
• Assist Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable with daily processes.
• Assist with data retrieval, reporting and filing for compliance.
• Assist with internal audit control testing (J-SOX).
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
• Assist with SAP ERP implementation.
