Job summary

The Accounting Intern supports the Finance team with accounting operations, reconciliations, financial reporting, audit preparation, and process documentation.

The role provides practical exposure to accounts receivable, accounts payable, treasury, internal controls, and ERP systems while developing professional accounting skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, analytical ability, and follow-through.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently or collaboratively under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist with account reconciliations and preparation of supporting schedules.
• Support month-end close workpapers, journal entry documentation, and account analysis.
• Research reconciling items, unusual balances, and accounting discrepancies under supervision.
• Assist with accounts receivable and accounts payable research, aging reviews, invoice support, and payment discrepancies.
• Organize audit support, reconciliation evidence, and other accounting documentation.
• Update Finance SOPs, process maps, checklists, and training materials.
• Assist with ERP reports, saved searches, data validation, and system testing.
• Support treasury, supplier payments, and internal control projects as assigned.
• Analyze financial data, communicate findings, and maintain workpaper documentation.
• Participate in special projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
