Job summary

Freight Flex is seeking an Accounting Intern to join our Denton, TX team for hands-on experience in accounting, billing, accounts payable, and financial operations. You will support invoicing, vendor bill reviews, and SOP updates while working in a collaborative, growth-focused environment.

You'll gain exposure to accounts payable/receivable, internal communications, and real-world accounting practices within a fast-growing logistics company that values accountability and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance; graduating Dec 2026 or May 2027
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Willingness to learn and ask questions
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
• Interest in developing a career in accounting or finance

Responsibilities

• Assist with monitoring and organizing the accounting inbox and responding to internal requests
• Gain hands-on experience with customer invoicing, billing, and account reconciliation
• Assist with reviewing and processing vendor bills and identifying billing discrepancies
• Help research and resolve invoice exceptions and missing documentation
• Assist with maintaining and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for accounting processes
• Support the team with reviewing outstanding vendor bills and following up on required documentation
• Communicate with internal teams regarding billing and accounting questions
• Learn how accounting controls, policies, and documentation standards are applied in a growing organization
