Job summary

TRDI in San Antonio, TX is seeking an Accountant Intern to support management in accounting functions, applying GAAP to ensure timely financial statements. This on-site role provides exposure to month-end close and audits.

Responsibilities include reconciliations, budgeting support, fixed asset depreciation, journal entries, and management reports. Travel to contract sites and collaboration with project managers.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree with concentration in Accounting, Finance, Economics, etc.
• Proficient in MS Excel.
• Knowledge of GAAP preferred.
• Knowledge of Sage Intacct or similar accounting software preferred.
• Federal contracting and/or service contract labor standards experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform various account reconciliations
• Develop division budget and generate management reports
• Maintain fixed asset listing and depreciation
• Prepare and maintain month-end schedules
• Prepare and record journal entries
• Provide continuous support and training to project managers and other company personnel as needed
• Assist with regulatory and financial audits
• Comply with financial policies and procedures
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process
