Job summary

TRDI is seeking an Accountant to support accurate financial reporting and month-end close within our mission-driven team in Texas. You will maintain reconciliations, record journal entries, and assist with the budget-to-actual analysis while ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal controls.

Collaborating with operations, HR, and leadership, you will help drive financial accuracy and integrity, respond to audits, and support ongoing process improvements across accounting functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, finance, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience (A/R, billing, or contracts).
• Experience using accounting software or ERP systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Office apps.
• Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting and month-end close.
• Prepare reconciliations, schedules, and supporting docs per GAAP.
• Record journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
• Support accounts receivable activities and collections.
• Assist with budget-to-actual analysis and variances.
• Maintain audit-ready financial records and respond to audits.
• Ensure compliance with federal regulations and internal policies.
• Collaborate with operations, HR, and leadership on financial decisions.
• Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and controls.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial and employee information.
• Participate in special projects and other accounting duties as assigned.
• Provide ongoing communication and training to project managers and staff.
