Job summary

Kask America is seeking a motivated Accounting Intern in Charlotte, NC to support accounting, data management, and software implementation projects.

You will assist with system setups, state tax work, reconciliations, and reports, gaining hands-on experience across finance, operations, and technology in a fast-paced environment.

This role offers exposure to cross-functional teams and may lead to full-time opportunities based on performance.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, Supply Chain, or related field.
• Strong computer skills including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
• Interest in accounting, business systems, technology, and process improvement.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
• Analytical mindset with willingness to learn new software and processes.
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementation, testing, and setup of new business software applications.
• Support data migration, validation, and cleanup for software integrations.
• Assist with state tax registrations, setup, and compliance tracking.
• Research multi-state tax requirements and business registrations.
• Document business processes, workflows, and system procedures.
• Support accounting team with reconciliations and financial record maintenance.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks.
• Prepare spreadsheets, reports, and data analysis for management review.
• Audit data for accuracy and follow up on discrepancies.
• Organize and maintain electronic and physical records.
• Assist with month-end projects and other accounting support activities.
• Support cross-functional projects involving Finance, Technology, Customer Support, Operations, and Supply Chain.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and special projects.
