General Summary:

Kask America is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to support a variety of business, accounting, and technology initiatives. This internship is designed to provide hands‑on experience in a growing organization while contributing to several key business projects, including the implementation of new software systems, state tax set up and compliance activities, data management, and accounting operations.

The ideal candidate is organized, curious, technologically savvy, and eager to learn how finance, operations, and business systems work together. This position offers valuable exposure to accounting processes, software implementation, process improvement, and cross‑functional business operations.


JOB DUTIES:

  • Assist with implementation, testing, and setup of new business software applications.
  • Support data migration, validation, and cleanup activities associated with software integrations.
  • Assist with state tax registrations, setup, compliance tracking, and related documentation.
  • Conduct research and gather information related to multi‑state tax requirements and business registrations.
  • Help document business processes, workflows, and system procedures.
  • Support accounting team with account reconciliations and financial record maintenance.
  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable administrative tasks.
  • Prepare spreadsheets, reports, and data analysis for management review.
  • Audit data for accuracy and identify discrepancies requiring follow‑up.
  • Organize and maintain electronic and physical business records.
  • Assist with month‑end projects and various accounting support activities.
  • Support cross‑functional projects involving Finance, Technology, Customer Support, Operations, and Supply Chain.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and special projects.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Interest in accounting, business systems, technology, and process improvement.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Analytical mindset with a willingness to learn new software and business processes.
  • Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
