Job summary

Royal Kona Coffee is seeking an Intern in Accounting to assist the Senior Accounting Manager with closing the books, preparing journal entries, and performing account reconciliations and analysis. You will support month-end close tasks, AP/AR processing, bank and GL reconciliations, and create Excel-based reports to aid financial decision-making, while maintaining data integrity and confidentiality.

Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student at UH Mānoa in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
Proficient in ERP Software.
Proficient in Excel.

Responsibilities

Assist with month-end close tasks, including schedules and close checklists.
Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processing, including coding and data entry.
Reconcile bank, credit card, and selected GL accounts and escalate discrepancies.
Create Excel-based reports (spending summaries, aging reports, variance trackers).
Assist with inventory and cost accounting support activities and maintain documentation.
Support ERP and finance system data integrity and assist with testing for system updates.
