Hawaii Coffee Company is seeking an Intern, Accounting to support month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and analysis under the Senior Accounting Manager.

The role targets current undergraduates or recent grads in Accounting, Finance, or related fields. Proficiency in Excel and ERP software is required; attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate student in accounting/finance/business admin or related field (or recent grad within 12 months).
• Proficient in ERP software.
• Proficient in Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Clear written and oral communication skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Organized, reliable, and ethical with integrity.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end close tasks, preparing schedules, and closing checklists under supervision.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processing, including coding, data entry, and approvals.
• Reconcile bank, credit card, and selected general ledger accounts; escalate discrepancies as needed.
• Create and maintain Excel-based reports (spending summaries, aging, variances) for Finance decisions.
• Assist with inventory and cost accounting support, including variance research and documentation.
• Support ERP and finance system data integrity and testing for updates.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information and adhere to internal controls.
• Participate in special projects and other accounting duties as needed.
