Job summary

The Goley Companies is seeking an Accounting Intern to support our Accounting team at The Goley Companies. This hands-on role offers exposure to day-to-day operations of a growing accounting department, including vendor communications, ACH payments, and training Stampli AI to automate workflows.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage repetitive tasks accurately.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office suite.
• Comfortable handling confidential financial information with discretion.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for SOP drafting and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily Accounts Payable operations, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
• Communicate with vendors to ensure invoices are submitted correctly and resolve invoice or payment-related questions.
• Promote and assist vendors with enrollment in ACH payments to improve payment efficiency and reduce processing costs.
• Print, sort, file, and organize vendor invoices and supporting documentation.
• Match vendor invoices to purchase orders and escalate discrepancies for review.
• Assist with vendor file maintenance, including W-9 forms and updating vendor records.
• Help prepare check runs and ACH payment batches for review and approval.
• Establish and maintain recurring payment schedules to support cash flow planning.
• Maintain organized AP records and assist with reconciliation and discrepancy resolution.
• Support Stampli AI training and workflow optimization.
