Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a rising accounting senior to support the Plant Finance team in all phases of accounting, including journal entries for multiple entities and master GL reconciliations. You will validate deposits and intercompany balances and leverage BlackLine to ensure accurate period reconciliations.

Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required, along with strong analytical and teamwork skills. A summer project will introduce AI-powered automation to boost efficiency and workflow

Qualifications

• Rising senior pursuing a 4-year degree in Accounting.
• Completed all accounting or finance pre-requisite and introductory level courses.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical, data-processing, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational skills; ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong team collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the VP of Plant Finance in all phases of accounting.
• Prepare and enter journal entries for multiple entities.
• Validate daily thrift store deposits and sales.
• Prepare master GL reconciliations and balance intercompany accounts.
• Use BlackLine to reconcile period GL account reconciliations and bank and GL balances for multiple entities.
• Analyze general ledger accounts and prepare associated quarterly schedules.
• Assist with period and quarter-end accounting closing processes.
• Develop AI-powered process automations to improve efficiency and optimize workflows as part of a summer project.
• Participate in meaningful projects supporting personal and professional growth.
