Job summary

Talentify in Rockville, MD offers an Accounting Intern position for Spring 2027, part-time or full-time for 12 weeks, 25-40 hours per week, paying $20 per hour. You will be introduced to our Business Management Training program and exposed to basic accounting procedures.

Applicants must graduate by May 2027 with a BS in Accounting or Finance and have at least 6 months in customer service, leadership or administration; proficiency in Excel and Word; a valid driver's license; and US work

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist in basic accounting procedures from accounts payable/receivable to financial statement prep and analysis.
• Work closely with rental branches and other departments.
• Assist accounting managers with reports and schedules.
• Involved with A/P & A/R functions, cash receipts and petty cash.

This position is located in Rockville, MD. This is a temporary part time or full time position in Spring 2027 working 25-40 hours a week for 12 weeks. Pay is $20.00 / hour.

Responsibilities

Starting as an Accounting Intern, you will be exposed to basic accounting procedures and principles ranging from accounts payable and receivable systems to financial statement, preparation, and analysis. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Assist in preparing financial statement & analysis
• Work closely with rental branches and other departments
• Assist accounting managers with reports, etc.
• Involved with A/P & A/R functions; cash receipts & petty cash
• Assist in accounting schedules & filing
• Perform miscellaneous administrative duties as needed

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled for the Spring 2027 semester in a college/university in a bachelors degree program in Accounting or Finance with a graduation date of May 2027.
• Must have at least 6 months experience in customer service, leadership or administration
  • Leadership experience could include experience in organizations, clubs, volunteer work, community service, athletics or military service
• Experience in accounting, accounts payable/receivable or bookkeeping preferred
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must have basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
• Must have satisfactory background check inclusive of driving (no more than 2 moving violations and/or at fault accidents in the past 3 years, and no DUI or DWI on driving record in the last 3 years) employment reference, education and social security
