Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an accounting intern in Chicago to support journal entry preparation, analysis, and reconciliations. You will work closely with the Accounting Manager on strategic projects and monitor loan portfolio performance using SQL-based data visualization tools.

The role emphasizes hands-on development, cross-functional collaboration, and building practical accounting experience for a senior in Accounting or Finance. Local candidates preferred; relocation not provided.

Qualifications

• Incoming or current senior in an Undergraduate or Graduate Degree Program in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Strong quantitative analytical skills.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines, follow through to completion, and present conclusions of analysis to senior management in an organized and thoughtful manner.
• Experience with SQL or other relational database tools a plus.
