Job summary

St. Joe Tool Co. is seeking an Accountant/HR Assistant to work with the CFO on financial records and GAAP compliance. You will record A/R, A/P, GL, intercompany, and credit card transactions, plus payroll verifications in ADP and new hire setup.

The role requires detail orientation, strong organizational skills, and knowledge of wage laws. You will also assist with company events, merchandise, and employee incentive programs.

Qualifications

• AS or BBA degree in accounting/finance required or preferred.
• 7+ years of accounting/finance experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Knowledge of GAAP and general ledger processes.
• Experience with QuickBooks, Sage or ERP accounting systems.
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and macros a plus.
• Strong math/analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management and communication skills.
• Self-starter able to work independently and with teams.

Responsibilities

• Enter financial data and transactions.
• Verify accuracy of transactions with proper backup.
• Maintain monthly GL and Balance Sheet schedules.
• Assist with cash flow forecasting.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Manage quoting and purchasing for shop and office supplies.
• Cost accounting and fixed asset management.
• Maintain PO system and 1099 reporting.
• Support regulatory reporting and audits.
• Coordinate with HR for payroll verification and new hire setup.
