Job summary

Flowers Foods is seeking an Accountant to assist in finance and accounting activities. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in accounting, knowledge of GAAP, and familiarity with SAP ERP.

Responsibilities include preparing journal vouchers, assisting with income statement estimates, and supporting the accounting closing process. A Bachelor of Business in Accounting is required, and a competitive salary between $60,000 and $65,000 is offered.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in Accounting, internships included.
• Working knowledge of GAAP requirements.
• Experience with SAP ERP and BlackLine preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with weekly income statement estimates and preparation.
• Prepare and enter journal vouchers.
• Maintain weekly reporting for corporate and local.
• Assist with accounting closing processes.
• Analyze general ledger accounts and prepare schedules.
• Support Accounts Payable and Distributor Accounting.
• Monitor customer trade receivables collection efforts.
• Assist with annual financial planning and capital budgets.
