Job summary

Twenty is seeking its first full-time Accounting hire to build and manage core financial processes for a high-growth software company. You will own daily and annual accounting workflows, drive scalable automation, and prepare for future audits.

Ideal candidates have Big 4 audit or startup accounting experience, with CPA preferred. You will collaborate with tax, bookkeeping, vendors, and auditors while shaping policies and real-time financial operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in Big 4 audit and/or high-growth technology startups (2–6 years).
• CPA status favored but not required.
• Detail-oriented with strong formatting for cross-functional communication.
• Experience implementing and managing modern financial systems (ERP, spend management, payroll).
• Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Self-propelled with initiative to identify and fill gaps.
• Open to leveraging AI tools to improve workflows.
• Humility and a pragmatic approach to manual tasks when needed.

Responsibilities

• Own accounting functions from annual to day-to-day workflows ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Build scalable processes and automate where possible to handle higher volumes.
• Prepare Twenty for future audits with roadmap and timing awareness.
• Manage external partners including tax, bookkeeping, vendors, government partners, and auditors.
• Optimize systems and integrate tools to streamline internal workflows.
• Develop internal policies for expenses and procurement; collaborate with leaders.
• Support special projects such as real estate planning and contracting.
• Help with cross-functional workflows in Legal, HR, and Office as needed.
