AEP is seeking an Accounting & Finance Intern to join our team in Columbus, Ohio. This hands-on internship offers exposure to financial statements, accounting records, and month-end close processes while participating in technology-driven transformation projects.

You'll gain practical experience in budgeting, data analysis, and collaboration with a professional team. Compensation includes housing stipend for long-distance moves and access to EWYL opportunities, with a 10-12 week duration.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Familiarity with accounting software.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
• Help maintain accurate financial records and databases.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Participate in the reconciliation of accounts.
• Conduct data analysis and assist with budgeting activities and support technology driven transformation projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the accounting team.
