Job summary

American Electric Power in Columbus, OH is seeking an Accounting & Finance Intern to gain hands-on experience across accounting tasks and finance transformation projects.

You will assist in preparing financial statements, maintaining records, and supporting month-end close, with a $22–$27 per hour range and a 10–12 week program, onsite in Columbus or nearby areas. Housing stipend may be provided for moves over 45 miles; EWYL benefits available.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.
• Familiarity with accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing financial statements and reports.
• Help maintain accurate financial records and databases.
