Job summary

Eastern Iowa Community Colleges is seeking a 167-day in-person faculty member to teach accounting courses at Scott Community College and Clinton Community College. The position requires a Master’s in Accounting or a related field with accounting emphasis, and a commitment to student success and service. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Accounting or a Master’s Degree with 12 graduate semester hours in a related field with at least 6 graduate hours in accounting.
• Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
• Previous teaching experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Teaches courses in accordance with outcomes identified in the established course development model.
• Participates in the design of courses and programs of instruction; maintains currency of curriculum and collaborates on revisions as needed.
• Demonstrates satisfactory preparation and meets with classes as scheduled.
• Demonstrates rapport with students and solicits/uses student feedback to improve teaching and learning.
• Establishes clear syllabi posted in CANVAS; communicates objectives, processes, policies, and attendance.
• Evaluates and records student performance; provides feedback.
• Maintains office hours; assists students and provides feedback.
• Collaborates with support services to assist student success and accommodations as required.
• Monitors progress; communicates with advising; maintains attendance and progress grades.
• Participates in outcomes assessment; plans learning strategies to meet student outcomes.
