Position Summary

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

The Accounting Coordinator supports STARability’s mission by performing accounting and bookkeeping duties under the direction of the Chief Accounting Officer. The coordinator has exceptional attention to detail, keen problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to accuracy and efficiency. The Accounting Coordinator upholds STARability’s Core Values of Support, Teamwork, Awareness, and Respect. Through managing accounts payable and receivable, processing tuition and program fee payments, handling billing and invoicing, supporting grant reporting, and assisting with budgeting, financial reporting, and audits, this position is vital in advancing the organization’s commitment to empowering individuals with disabilities to thrive.

  • Uphold STARability’s Core Values of Support, Teamwork, Awareness, and Respect.
  • Provide accounting support, facilitating accounts payable and receivable, including creating templates for invoicing, processing invoices and processing payments for tuition and program fees.
  • Collaborate with staff to address challenges and ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Enter and manage data, generating reports as needed.
  • Assist with check deposits, petty cash processing and manual check runs.
  • Assist with all Program billing/invoicing.
  • Support the Finance and Development departments with grant reporting requirements including but not limited to monthly APD reports, quarterly NCEF reports and annual reports to the Schulze Foundation and the Community Foundation.
