The Montgomery County Intermediate Unit in Norristown, PA, seeks an Accounting Coordinator in the Office of Business Services to provide accounting support services and help manage budgets.

Bachelor's degree is required; Master's degree preferred. Responsibilities include coordinating contracts, data reporting, and maintaining records, with strong collaboration across administrators and staff.

Qualifications

  • Original certificates of clearance from the State Police, Child Abuse Registry, and PDE FBI.

Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership in organizational development and identifies opportunities for MCIU and component school districts.
  • Serves as a coordinator of organizational initiatives to provide strategic leadership, technical assistance, program-related services and support, and communication to MCIU administrators and partners.
  • Effectively implements organizational development activities, including identifying opportunities, developing proposals, gathering relevant data, and preparing reports in a timely manner.
  • Collaborates with administrators and program staff to ensure activities align with goals and policies.
  • Stays abreast of current resources, best practices, and developments at local/state/national levels to incorporate in all work.
  • Oversees funding, partnership, and program opportunities from local,state, regional, and national sources, and communicates opportunities with appropriate administrators.
  • Proactively and efficiently collects and organizes data to support organizational initiatives, planning efforts, and program goals; delivers to administrators in a timely manner.
  • Ensures that the terms and conditions of agreements are met and properly documented by maintaining a relevant database, managing files, directing contract/agreement review and signature processes, tracking timelines, deliverables, and budgets, and monitoring compliance with organizational requirements.
  • Maintains comprehensive and accurate records (e.g. meeting minutes, activity notes, summaries, reports, travel records, and budget) for all assigned activities.
  • Prepares a variety of presentations, reports, and correspondence regarding project status, compliance activities and/or issues.
  • Proactively initiates, develops, and maintains internal and external relationships and partnerships that enhance programs and services to MCIU districts and the MCIU organization.
