Job summary

Montgomery County Intermediate Unit #23 is seeking a Program Administrator - Financial Services to provide accounting and supervisory services to MCIU clients. This role oversees general ledger activity, budget reporting, and board-level financial statements, while coordinating with administrators, parents, and staff within the educational community.

• BS degree in appropriate field; MS preferred.
• 5–7 years of progressive experience; leadership preferred.
• Experience supervising staff and managing budgets.
• Experience with administration, parents, and staff in educational settings.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and assure accuracy of general ledger activity.
• Monitor accounting reporting for revenue and expenditures.
• Prepare journal entries and general ledger entries.
• Prepare year-end entries, reports, and schedules.
• Manage state and federal program reporting and audits.
• Oversee board treasurer's report and annual financial report.
• Perform budget transfers and overall budget development.
• Supervise accounts payable/receivable, payroll, grants services.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and controls.
• Provide training and support for business office functions.
