Job summary

Underwriters Laboratories Inc. is seeking a Senior Accountant to support the global accounting lifecycle for fixed assets and leases.

You will help deliver accurate financial results under US GAAP (ASC 360 and ASC 842) and strengthen data, controls, and processes behind capital asset and lease portfolios. You will report to the Lease Accounting Manager and work within the Fixed Assets and Lease Accounting Center of Excellence in the Chief Accounting Officer’s organization.

Qualifications

• Experience with fixed assets accounting under US GAAP (ASC 360).
• Experience with lease accounting under ASC 842.

• Collaborate across Real Estate, Procurement, FP&A, Technical Accounting, and project teams to resolve issues and improve processes.

In this highly visible role, you will help deliver accurate, timely financial results under U.S. GAAP, including ASC 360 and ASC 842, while strengthening the data, controls, and processes behind our capital asset and lease portfolios.

You will report to the Lease Accounting Manager and work within the Fixed Assets and Lease Accounting Center of Excellence in the Chief Accounting Officer’s organization. You will partner across Real Estate, Procurement, FP&A, Technical Accounting, project teams, and regional finance to solve accounting issues, improve processes, and support domestic and international operations.
