Job summary

RGP in the United States is seeking an Accounting Consultant to support month-end close, reconciliations, and journal entries, and to analyze accrued liabilities.

You will also assist with financial consolidation and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a hybrid work environment; on-site presence is required at least 3 days per week in the Detroit area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related major required.
• 5+ years of hands-on accounting and month-end close experience.
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and advanced functions).
• Experience with SAP/Oracle or other ERP; HFM or OneStream preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end close, including preparing and reviewing account reconciliations.
• Prepare journal entries and analyze accrued liabilities.
• Support financial consolidation processes.

What you will work on

What you will bring

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related major
• 5+ years of hands‑on accounting and month‑end close experience
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs and other advanced functions
• Experience using SAP, Oracle or other major ERP applications; and experience with HFM or OneStream is preferred
• Exceptional client service skills with a high attention to detail
• Must be willing to work on‑site at least 3 days/week in the Northern Detroit, MI area

• Pay Range: $45-65/hour
