Dycom Industries, Inc. is seeking a Manager of Accounting - Consolidations to oversee the company’s consolidation and financial close processes, ensuring accurate reporting in line with GAAP.

The role manages intercompany accounting, consolidations, and reporting with strict controls and cross-functional collaboration. The position requires 8+ years of relevant experience, a Bachelor's in Accounting, and a CPA license, with advanced Excel and SAP S/4 HANA proficiency.

Qualifications

• CPA license required.
• 8+ years of relevant work experience, public accounting a plus.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with operating companies on the timely submission of monthly financial results.
• Review and post adjusting journal entries.
• Review and compile the month end close binder and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Manage goodwill impairment testing and future projections coordination.
• Assist with accounting for business combinations including PPA and intangible assets.
• Research technical accounting guidance to ensure GAAP compliance.

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with operating companies on the timely submission of monthly financial results, while providing responsive customer service, support, and open communication to address questions and resolve issues
• Review and post adjusting journal entries
• Review and compile the month end close binder and other supporting documentation,including accounting memos, to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with established accounting policies and controls
• Manage the annual goodwill impairment testing, including evaluation of market conditions and coordination with operating companies on future projections
• Assist with the accounting for business combinations, including purchase price allocations and valuation of intangible assets
• Research technical accounting guidance as needed to ensure compliance with GAAP and preparation of memos to document accounting decisions
• Identify and execute process improvement projects
• Assist with system implementations and internal control initiatives
• Ad hoc assistance with due diligence in potential acquisition and / or special projects as directed by management
• Will be required to work weekends as needed
• All other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• 8+ years of relevant work experience, public accounting a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and sound analytical skills
• CPA license required
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with demonstrated technical proficiency
• Experience with SAP S/4 HANA, Group Reporting, Analytics for Office a plus
• Demonstrated ability to work efficiently, meet demanding deadlines in a fast-paced environment, and prioritize workflow
• Ability to collaborate well with team members and leaders across the company

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: Engage in standard office activities such as standing, sitting, and using computers for extended periods.
• Occasionally: Travel domestically up to 10% to attend team meetings or training.
