Job summary

Dycom Industries, Inc. seeks an Accounting Consolidations Manager to lead monthly consolidation, intercompany, and financial close activities at our West Palm Beach office.

You will oversee journal entries, goodwill testing, and business combinations workstreams while partnering with operating companies to ensure accurate reporting in line with GAAP. The role requires 8+ years of accounting experience, a CPA, and strong Excel/SAP S/4 HANA skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• CPA license is required.
• 8+ years of relevant work experience, public accounting a plus.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and sound analytical skills.
• Experience with SAP S/4 HANA, Group Reporting, Analytics for Office a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with operating companies on the timely submission of monthly financial results, while providing responsive customer service, support, and open communication to address questions and resolve issues
• Review and post adjusting journal entries
• Review and compile the month end close binder and other supporting documentation, including accounting memos, to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with established accounting policies and controls
• Manage the annual goodwill impairment testing, including evaluation of market conditions and coordination with operating companies on future projections
• Assist with the accounting for business combinations, including purchase price allocations and valuation of intangible assets
• Research technical accounting guidance as needed to ensure compliance with GAAP and preparation of memos to document accounting decisions
• Identify and execute process improvement projects
• Assist with system implementations and internal control initiatives
• Ad hoc assistance with due diligence in potential acquisition and / or special projects as directed by management
• Will be required to work weekends as needed
• All other duties as assigned

What you’ll need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• 8+ years of relevant work experience, public accounting a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and sound analytical skills
• CPA license required
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with demonstrated technical proficiency
• Experience with SAP S/4 HANA, Group Reporting, Analytics for Office a plus
• Demonstrated ability to work efficiently, meet demanding deadlines in a fast-paced environment, and prioritize workflow
• Ability to collaborate well with team members and leaders across the company

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: Engage in standard office activities such as standing, sitting, and using computers for extended periods.
• Occasionally: Travel domestically up to 10% to attend team meetings or training.
