Job Overview

The City of Spring Hill, Kansas seeks a highly qualified, dynamic professional to oversee accounts receivable for water, sewer, and refuse billing. Join our Finance Department and be part of the City team! Pay, Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Business Administration preferred.
  • Starting pay is $24.99 per hour; actual pay depends on experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of related experience, including customer service, account management, or billing process management involving analytical and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage accounts receivable for water, sewer, and refuse billing, including data import/export, meter analysis, billing, and customer inquiries.
  • Maintain and update the utility billing database, ensuring accuracy of rates and customer information.
  • Prepare and send utility bills, notices, and handle collections and customer service inquiries.
  • Reconcile billing components and perform audits to ensure accuracy.
  • Handle final bill refunds, service interruptions, payment arrangements, and annual sewer re-averaging.
  • Generate monthly reports such as Aging, Billing Register, Consumption Revenue, etc.
  • Follow department policies in handling disputes, inquiries, and requests.
