Description of Work

Located in Asheville, NC, Craggy Correctional Center is a minimum and medium custody facility in Buncombe County, housing approximately 182 minimum and 408 medium security male offenders.
This is a full-time position with state benefits including health, dental, vision insurance, flexible spending account, disability and life insurance, paid vacation, sick leave, holidays, and retirement plans.
The primary responsibility is to process payments for purchase orders and miscellaneous direct payables. This involves coordinating with administrative staff, the Department Purchasing Section, and vendors to ensure accurate and timely invoice processing in the North Carolina Accounting System (NCAS). The role also includes purchasing via the State E-procurement System and State Purchasing Cards, reconciling P-Cards and purchases, and preparing monthly budget reports.

The salary grade is NC02, with a range of $31,200 to $49,340 annually.
