Job summary

Kronospan is seeking an Accounting Clerk to support the CFO and accounting team in daily duties. You will analyze transactions, process AP/AR, assist with monthly closes, and prepare reconciliations and reports.

The role requires a 90-day probation, strong communication skills, and proficiency with ERP and MS Office. Growth opportunities exist within a global wood panel producer with diverse, inclusive teams.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or business OR equivalent experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of associates.
• Excellent attendance record.
• Demonstrated high energy level, strong work ethic, and positive approach to problem solving.
• Ability to work with others in identifying and solving complex manufacturing problems.
• Ability to work independently with little or no direct supervision.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software especially Word, PowerPoint and Excel; ability to work in and create spreadsheets.
• Good understanding of accounting cycle, specifically accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Experience with ERP and financial software
• Must be a team player and have the ability to work and interact with associates/departments throughout the organization
• Must have met 90 day new-hire requirement

Responsibilities

• Analyze, verify and post transactions to journals, ledgers, and other records.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Support the monthly close process as needed.
• Prepare account reconciliations.
• Assist with the preparation of monthly financial reports.
• Perform special accounting projects and analysis as needed.
• Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately.
• Assist associates in other areas of accounting department as needed.
