Responsibilities

  • Scan invoices and supporting documents; input data into Spectrum/Viewpoint.
  • Assist with vendor payment processing for job-related and general expenses.
  • Maintain and update vendor master records as needed.
  • Coordinate with purchasing and project managers to ensure invoice accuracy and proper matching to orders and received materials.
  • Support payroll data entry including work hours, job numbers, and cost codes.
  • Assist with accounts receivable processes and make collection calls when assigned.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing accounting mail; postage processing.
  • Reconcile credit card transactions and enter employee expense reports.
  • Generate reports, verify data accuracy, and support general administrative accounting tasks.
  • Collaborate with accounting team members to provide cross-training and departmental support.
  • Assist with additional accounting duties and ad hoc projects as needed.

Accounting Clerk (AP-Focused)

Location: Waldwick, NJ (100% On-Site)

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Compensation: $24.00 - $27.50 per hour (dependent upon experience)

About the Opportunity:

A growing organization in the service/construction industry is seeking an Accounting Clerk to join its team due to an internal promotion. This role is heavily focused on Accounts Payable and offers the opportunity to work closely with purchasing and project management teams on project-based accounting activities.

Position Overview:

This position will support day-to-day accounting operations with a strong emphasis on project-related AP. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Scan invoices and supporting documents; accurately input data into the accounting system (Spectrum/Viewpoint)
  • Assist with vendor payment processing for job-related and general expenses

  • This role is best suited for candidates looking to grow within an accounting support function (CPA track candidates will not be considered)
